Broad Band Internet Solution for ISP
Avnisoft was contracted by a major enterprise computer vendor to design, implement a software solution for Cable Service providers who would provide Internet access over Broad Band cable network. The project involved knowledge and experience in various technologies including Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Netscape Enterprise solutions, Cable Routers, Domain Name Server, Security and Firewall Software etc. Designed various modules using OO-methodologies. Implemented the Operations Management server using OpenView/ITO. Converted the multi-layered software server architecture from centralized to a decentralized and distributed system. Integrated the software solution with OmniBack to streamline backup/restore procedure for ISP. Elaborate performance study was done to analyze the scalability of the software. The development was done in C/C++ using POSIX/DCE threads and RogueWave libraries with Oracle Database server.

Web-based Workflow Automation, Information & Resource Management
The workflow includes Accounting, Human Resources and Engineering Infrastructure. The project involves Requirements gathering and normalization, Design of the prototype, Design of the complete solution, Implementation and Testing. The prototype was designed, implemented and tested on Solaris 2.x and Windows NT 4.0. The prototype uses Netscape Directory Server, IIS, Apache Web Server. It also uses JDBC to access the Database server. The business logic is implemented as multi-threaded Servelets. Designed and implemented GUI using JFC/SWING. Developed CGI programs in C/C++, Perl and Shell scripts.

HTML and HTTP Standards Conformance of Browser
Avnisoft is contracted by a major software vendor to certify VxWorks based Embedded Browser against HTML 4.0 and HTTP 1.1 standards. The project involves development of Test Plans for Integration Testing and System Testing, development and reuse of standard conformance test suites, defect report generation and regression testing. Integration testing includes testing of various HTML features namely Style Sheets, SPICE scripting, Tables, Forms, Images etc. The project involves testing of Browser for HTTP standards compliance including Requests, Responses, Persistent Connections, Protocol parameters, Proxy servers, Caching mechanisms etc. The project involves experience in testing Embedded Systems software under VxWorks Tornado Environment.

Quality of Service For Internet Applications on Windows NT
This project involved design & development of a performance critical Internet application on Windows NT 4.0 platform. The application provides consistent response time for the Internet end users. Designed & implemented a network Service Provider in compliance with Windows Sockets 2 Service Provider Interface. Implemented various modules as NT services. The development was under Visual Studio 6.0 environment using Winsock2 and Windows Threads. Implemented Management GUI using Java and SWING. Deliverables included Detailed Design documents, code implementation, integration and stress testing with (IIS) Internet Information Server. Successfully executed Acceptance Criteria consisting of performance measurements and code coverage analysis.

Messaging Solution for ISPs and Network Bandwidth Providers
Avnisoft was contracted by a major software vendor to design, install and configure an infrastructure for a network bandwidth provider who would like to provide messaging services. The infrastructure provides a highly scalable messaging solution with a capability to grow up to 250,000 mailboxes, using Intermail product from “Software.com”. The project involved knowledge and experience in email technologies like SMTP, POP, IMAP, WEBMAIL etc. Used Oracle database server for subscriber information management and Directory server for authentication of subscribers. Designed the architecture of the solution and performed deployment.
